Representatives from Dorfman Pacific, the nation’s largest wholesaler of hats and accessories, are on hand this weekend for a trunk show at the Keeneland Gift Shop, showcasing their popular Scala Collection of Kentucky Derby hats and fascinators, said Leslie Correa of the California-based Dorfman Pacific.

KyForward will be giving away two fascinators from the Scala Collection next week. Watch for details starting Monday.

“We know hats,” Correa said. “We are here working with the customers, helping them find the perfect hat.”

The Scala Collection has been available at the Keeneland Gift Shop for several years, providing Derby- goers with a variety of colors and styles of headwear to choose from each year. Included this year are at least 18 different styles of fascinators – the increasingly popular headpiece usually attached to a headband or hair clip. All the hats and fascinators in the 2012 Scala Collection come in a variety of colors, from this spring’s popular fuchsia and coral to black with earth tones.

The Scala Collection trunk show continues through the meet just outside the main Keeneland Gift Shop adjacent to the paddock. Hours are Tuesday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Wednesday-Saturday 9 a.m. until 30 minutes after the last race; Sunday 11 a.m. until 30 minutes after the last race. The shop is closed on Mondays.

Following the spring race meet, which ends April 27, hats from the Scala Collection will still be available at the Keeneland Gift Shop. Regular hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. To shop online, visit Keenelandshop.com.
