New York and Stockton, CA—The Isaac Mizrahi New York brand continues to expand its licensing base with an agreement with Dorfman Pacific to create a headwear collection.

“Dorfman Pacific’s new licensing agreement with Xcel Brands, Inc. to produce headwear under the Isaac Mizrahi New York name is a perfect example of two market leaders coming together to achieve outstanding results,” said Douglas Highsmith, Dorfman Pacific’s president/ceo, as he announced an agreement that will encompass collections for every season of the year.

The debut collection of Isaac Mizrahi New York headwear will be available to retailers beginning in second quarter of 2013. “With Isaac Mizrahi positioned as an indisputable leader in women’s fashion design, and Dorfman Pacific synonymous with the very best in headwear, we expect to see outstanding results from what is by any standards an exciting new partnership,” Highsmith said. “The addition of Isaac Mizrahi New York to the Dorfman Pacific roster rounds out and brings new luster to our offering of women’s hats.”

The new Isaac Mizrahi New York headwear collection will meld important trends in silhouettes and colors with essentially classic and timeless designs to achieve the quintessential Mizrahi look beloved by women everywhere.

Designs will incorporate all key materials and fabrics such as wool felt, cotton, raffia, paper braid, natural and man-made blends and more. The collection’s debut in stores is set for Spring/Summer 2013 with a core collection in the $39 to $59 retail price range, including New York-inspired designs featuring sun-defeating big-brimmed silhouettes and pinch-front, longer-brimmed fedoras. The premium Derby Collection, comprised both of dramatic big-brimmed hats and fascinators, will retail in the $69 to $89 range.
